These pictures were taken in Tokyo between 2009 and 2010. Together they show our first encounter with a city that has been on our minds for a much longer time. Tokyo fascinated us and wanted to be a part of it. For weeks on end we walked through the many neighbourhoods decomposing our mental image. The book is the outcome of our wandering, a double gaze at the places we passed and the people we met in split seconds.
